Bernard Voïta



Bernard Voïta (b. 1960, Cully, Switzerland) has been living and working in Brussels since 1989. From 1981 to 1986, he studied at École Supérieure d’Art Visuel in Geneva (at the studios of Silvie and Chérif Defraoui). He has held numerous solo exhibitions, including those at Kunsthalle Zurich and Musée d’Art et d’Histoire in Geneva (1997), Musée Cantonal des Beaux Arts, in Lausanne (2005), Établissement d’en Face, in Brussels (2006), Culturgest, in Lisbon (2011), CACY, in Yverdon-les-Bains (2014), Kunstmuseum Solothurn (2018) and at various galleries, such as Galerie Bob van Orsouw, in Zurich since 1995, Galerie Rodolphe Janssen, in Brussels (1995 and 2001), Galerie Jean Brolly, in Paris (2003 and 2009) and Galerie Laurence Bernard since 2017. He has also participated regularly in group exhibitions, most notably at Kunsthalle Bern, Centre d’Art Contemporain in Geneva, Kunsthaus Zurich, Kunstmuseum Bern, Pinakothek der Moderne, in Munich, Museum Moderner Kunst, in Vienna, Extra City Kunsthal, in Antwerp, Bregenzer Kunstverein and Skulpturenpark, in Cologne.
