Hana Miletić
Hana Miletić (b. 1982, Zagreb, Croatia) lives and works in Brussels and Zagreb. She studied photography at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, from which she graduated in 2009. She reflects on issues of representation and social reproduction, by making linkages between photography and weaving. Miletić uses the weaving process – which requires considerable time and dedication – as a way to counteract certain economic and social conditions at work, such as acceleration, standardization and transparency. Her work has been the subject of several solo exhibitions in Belgium – notably at WIELS in Brussels in 2018 – but also in Croatia (Apoteka, Vodnjan in 2019), Kosovo (LambdaLambdaLambda, Pristina in 2019) or in London and Berlin. In parallel to her exhibitions, she regularly organizes open workshops, performances or readings.
